I am wondering what the issue or objection the Hebrews had with Jesus being the messiah? What was the question behind Paul's statements in chapter one? Was it the fact that Jesus was a human being?

I can imagine a wife and husband having a discussion at home during those days.

Wife: We can't turn our backs on Jesus now. God demonstrated him to be the messiah through many miracles and his teaching made so much sense.
